In 1939 (3) Lions established Leader Dogs for the Blind to train guide dogs to empower people who are blind, visually impaired or Deaf-Blind. Lions have acted as the backbone of Leader Dog since its inception. Lions Clubs throughout the world support Leader Dog for the blind in many capacities:
Silver Hill Lion Club’s Lion Lois Barb is District 22C’s Leader Dog Chair along with her husband PDG Rich Barb are now raising their 10th Leader Dog puppy, Piper. Below is a list of all the puppies raised by Lion Lois and PDG Rich and their current occupation:
